Historically, too little research, policy and public education initiatives have been dedicated to understanding the special needs of women and children experiencing homelessness. At Lotus House, we strive to provide the highest quality supportive services and simultaneously advance public awareness on the special needs of these we serve. To that end, we are pleased to announce our second article, A culture of care: How Lotus House Women's Shelter heals program participants through genuineness, space, high expectations, dignity, individualized attention, and community, co-authored by Dr. Asia Eaton, et.al, from Florida International University and our Foundation, was just published in the Journal of Community Psychology
