Lotus in the Neighborhood

In an effort to make a larger impact on our neighbors, Lotus House launched an annual Health and Wellness and Back to School Fair taking place every August in front of our facility over 7 years ago. As a result of the pandemic and the growing need of resources, we started regular events that bring life changing food, hygiene and medical resources and education directly to the community of Overtown, helping to bridge the gap and overcome obstacles. Now hosted monthly, these events will feature the following throughout the year:

1. Prepared meals and groceries
2. Hygiene supplies
3. Feminine hygiene
4. Health screenings such as: children’s vaccinations, vision screenings, dental screenings, ultrasounds and testing, primary wellness exams, and more
5. Health education on topics like HPV, cervical cancer, skin cancer and sun protection, mental health and anxiety, STI and more
6. Toys, schools supplies and more!
