Part-Time Psychiatrist

Lotus House Women’s Shelter seeks the part time services of a psychiatrist to provide onsite psychiatric care as part of its holistic Health and Wellness service for high special needs women, youth and children at its residential facility, a shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness. Required services will include initial psychiatric evaluations, follow up evaluations and care, diagnoses, reports necessary for disability benefits, housing verifications and other necessary documentation of disabilities, crisis intervention and assessment, writing prescriptions and more. Candidates must have experience working with women and youth with histories of serious trauma, domestic violence, serious mental illness, post traumatic stress symptomatology, and other high special needs. Must have experience working with LGBTQIA community. Must have specialty in psychiatry and able to write prescriptions and make diagnoses. Psychiatric nurse practitioners should only apply if they have signed protocols and supervision by a medical doctor. We are unable to provide the medical doctor supervision and protocols for nurse practitioners.

Seasoned Substance Abuse Counselor

Lotus House Women’s Shelter is seeking a seasoned, clinician with demonstrated experience in assessments and clinical counseling to work with women and youth with severe trauma histories and serious mental health issues. This is an opportunity for rewarding clinical work with a diverse community using an evidence-based, trauma-informed and holistic approach. Experience serving those with serious trauma histories, medical issues, mental health conditions, as well as working with individuals identifying as LGBTQ and those who have histories of domestic violence is a must. Candidates must have their CAP and training/certification in evidence based clinical modalities and possess a positive attitude, creativity, and commitment to helping improve the lives of women and children in the community. Responsibilities include direct provision of individual therapy (diagnosis and treatment), group therapy, crisis intervention, quality assurance, monitoring and compliance with contractual and regulatory responsibilities. This growing agency is well known for its successful outcomes and non-institutional approach, and is looking for motivated individuals to grow with the agency.
