What was your experience like at Lotus House?

My experience at Lotus House was the best experience ever & also my first time at a shelter. My baby was just 6 months old and I thought I would have fallen into depression but I actually fell right into a happy place and a happy situation! I didn’t even know it was in me at the time because of what I was going through but we had one of the best experiences ever together. We met so many different people, experienced different cultures, and gained friends and family till this day❤️

How is your son doing?
My child Kareem is better than ever!! Thanks for asking. Since Kareem first got to the shelter at just 6 months, they helped me with childcare with a program and Kareem is 3 years old & is still with the same program. They helped me with his school while I’m at work and I am forever grateful for that. Since we moved out, Kareem got his own room and his own space- he is loving every second of it & never wants to leave his bed ❤️❤️❤️

What are you most looking forward to in 2022?
What I’m looking forward to this year is on to bigger & better things, learning to take risks as well & never losing faith & learning new things not only for me at work but also as a mother and being a better person in general.
